After 26 years of trading we took the decision to close the business at the end of May 2026.

Gordon began his auctioneering career at Pattullo & Partners in 1958. When Sevenoaks Market closed in 1999, Gordon spoke to his good friend Paul Bowen who offered the use of his site here at Knockholt and he opened his own auction house in May 2000 holding weekly auctions. Over the years that reduced to the two auctions currently held each month – our Antique Furniture & Effects and General Furniture & Tools sales. Since Gordon passed away in 2016 it has been our privilege to continue that tradition.

Much has changed over the years, but our focus has always remained the same: to offer a personal, professional service and a friendly, busy auction room for buyers, sellers and dealers alike.

We would like to thank all of our customers most sincerely for their support and loyalty over the last 26 years. It has been a pleasure to work with you and to build the longstanding relationships that have made this business what it is.

We would also like to record our thanks to the Bowen family for allowing us the use of the saleroom throughout this time. We are equally grateful to our staff, past and present, whose hard work and good humour have supported the auctions week in, week out – in particular John (who came with us from Sevenoaks), Stuart and Julie for all their efforts.
